The State Cross Country meet is this Saturday as the Majettes look to surprise some teams and move up a couple of spots.
The Majettes got alittle relaxation as they worked out and had alittle fun at the wee links golf course on Wednesday, but come this weekend it`ll be all business. Junior Brecca Wahlund has been nothing short of impressive all year, and the Majettes hope to follow her lead to a great finish this weekend.
"They have to be aware of where they`re at. i think that`s the important thing. the race is huge. there are 160 runners and there will be a lot of emotion on the course. we`ve been telling kids to run with your head first then your heart. you have to know where you`re at and don`t run beyond your abilities," says Minot CC Coach Glee Mayer.
"I just hope to go down there and do my best and give it my all and hopefully as a team we can get in the top 5 and do our best and end on a good note," says Minot Junior Brecca Wahlund.
Wahlund has been the number one ranked runner all season, while the Majettes team has consistently cracked the top 5.
