| 3/5/2013 The University of Mary women`s track team enters the national championships ranked 7th in the country, and a number of Marauders have a chance to earn all-american honors.
Leading the way is senior Melissa Agnew. She`s the top ranked miler, and anchors the distance medley relay that`s also tops in the nation.
"Obviously we`re looking at some good things at the national meet, but that`s just on paper. You got to do it, but she`s certainly capable of at least being a contender for a national championship in an individual event," said head coach Mike Thorson.
Agnew`s sister Jennifer is ranked in the top 10 in the 3,000m and 5,000m. Sophomore Kathryn Stewart is also top 10 in her event. She is seeded 7th in the 200m. The NCAA DII Championships begin this Thursday and finish on Saturday.
