If you`re looking for a favorite in the girls side of the state tournament, that`s easy, West Fargo is undefeated this season. The state tournament pairings are determined by your regular season finish and Bismarck is third.

The Blizzard did find a few more scoring options as the season went along. More balance led to more wins.

"I think that helps when you have players like Brianna Flynn and Haleigh Springan who have to score goals for us to win games," said head coach Annie Cashman.

The Blizzard play the final game of the opening round on Thursday against Minot. They beat the Majettes twice this year: 6-1 and 5-2.
