Marauders Host Jamestown | Video

Lee Timmerman | 1/29/2013

The University of Mary wrestling team is stepping out of Northern Sun action tonight for a dual with Jamestown College. U-Mary is looking for just its second win of the season. The NSIC is one of the top conferences in all of Division II and so far it`s been a difficult season for the Marauders.

"We have a lot of improvement obviously. We`re strong at some weights, not as strong at some others, so right now it`s focus on your own match and hope the team does well, but we have a lot to improve. We can improve a lot," said Brady Anderson.

The Marauders will be without Trevor Johnson this evening. The All-American dropped down to 141 pounds a couple weeks into the season and is being careful about cutting weight.

"We have St. Cloud on Friday too and that`s the number two kid in the region. Kind of focusing more on that dual and get my weight down gradually rather than cutting it all off in a day," Johnson said.

U-Mary and Jamestown College are set to begin at 7:00 tonight. The Marauders` final home match is February 7 against Southwest Minnesota State.
