Lesson Learned | Video

Shiloh Christian head coach Mike Dwyer says diversity is a good way to describe his team. They are diverse in experience, talent and age. With that comes more peaks and valleys during a season, than if you had a team that was dominated by seniors. Dwyer says they learned a valuable lesson last Friday night.

"We went down to Mott and got it handed to us because we did a real poor job defensively. But that was a good lesson for the kids because they won a couple games in a row and they`re thinking maybe they are just going to win by showing up. And Mott really handed it to us. And they got a nice team but we just did such a poor job and so now the kids decided we can`t take anything for granted."

Dwyer says the Skyhawks have turned into a much better rebounding team than he thought he had at the beginning of the season. Their top scorer agrees with the coach.

"Early in the season we struggled defensive rebounding, other teams were offensive rebounding on us but now we`re coming along and all of us are starting to rebound well so it`s good," said senior Donovan Lambert.

Shiloh have the chance to put their lessons learned from last week to the test tonight at home against Standing Rock.
