Eddie Money in Williston | Video

Chris Williams | 3/18/2013

The Raymond Family Community Center was rocking tonight. 80s Rock Legend Eddie Money was in town. This isn`t Eddie`s first visit to North Dakota, or Williston for that matter. During the boom in the 80s he had a friend who worked on rigs.

Eddie says he always enjoys getting out of the big city, and back to Williston.

“What I like about North Dakota, when I get off the plane the air is so, I live in Los Angeles, and the air is like a breath of sunshine just felt so good. The snow was going sideways last night, but it was just great to be back in town, everybody has been really cool too us.”

Eddie performed his biggest hits like "Take Me Home Tonight" "Think I`m In Love," and of course it wouldn`t be an Eddie Money show without "Two Tickets to Paradise." Eddie also played a song tonight that is special to him because it gives back to the community.

“I`m selling t-shirts for my kids. Kids that have been born HIV positive, and of course we do a sing called one more solider coming home, and it`s about a kid that doesn`t make it back from Afghanistan, but a lot of that money is going to the fallen hero fund. It`s a nonprofit community organization, so it`s making money for the troops and for the kids.”

Before Eddie got in to rock and roll, he was a police officer in New York City, alongside his dad and brother.
