Parks Making Money

Oil is generating a lot of money in North Dakota, and so are the parks, most notably Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The National Park Service says in 2011 it hosted over 563,000 visitors and generated over $28 million.

The park also provided 451 jobs. The majority of those were in the food and lodging service.
