Drug Testing Bill Fails

Jessica Roose | 2/22/2013

A state bill to require drug testing for those who apply for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program failed this morning in the House. Supporters of the bill had argued that it would give individuals an incentive to stay clean.

Opponents said the bill went too far and would likely end up in court.

It failed 72 to 19.
