Alerus Center Shelter | Video

Valley News Live | 2/19/2013

Last night the Alerus Center housed hundreds stranded due to poor driving conditions on the interstate. The city expected 30 people, but nearly 200 showed up. It was next to impossible to find a hotel room in Grand Forks last night after I-29 was shut down because of blizzard conditions.

The Red Cross provided cots and hot coffee and this morning people were finally able to get back on the interstate after it opened.
