Counselor of the Year | Video

Kristin Clouston | 2/13/2013

This year`s North Dakota High School Counselor of the Year works in Bismarck. Connie Armstrong has been a school counselor since 1978 and says although there isn`t much that surprises her, she still looks forward to the variety her job offers.

Armstrong has been at Century for the past 22 years and says she plans on sticking around. "Well, I`m getting close to retirement but as long as I enjoy my job, I think I`ll just keep coming in. I`ve been sick for a few days and stayed home and was anxious to get back so I think that`s a good sign."

Armstrong can now apply to be the 2014 National High School Counselor of the Year.
