Dunn County Considering Crew Camp Fees | Video

Alex Hagan | 2/7/2013

Dunn County Commissioners are considering a crew camp fee of $1,000 per bed at the Target Logistics lodge just north of Dickinson. The crew camp currently has 600 beds, resulting in a cost of $600,000.

However Target Logistics employees say the cost is too high. The fee is the highest out of any crew camp in North Dakota.

Commissioners agree the cost may be too high, but want to come up with a number that would allow them to cover the cost of emergency needs in the county.

"That was part of the reason we came up with a $1,000 fee because we knew that if a disaster or something were to take place at one of these crew camps then we would have the ability to take care of these problems," said Dunn County Commissioner Donna Scott.

County Commissioners will come to an agreement at their next meeting early next month.
