Plans Announced for Diesel Refinery

Governor Jack Dalrymple and MDU Resources Group announced plans today for construction of a diesel refinery near Dickinson. The refinery is a joint venture between MDU and Calumet Specialty Products Partners from Indiana.

According to a news release, the refinery will be capable of processing 20,000 barrels of crude oil per day and will produce diesel fuel and other hydrocarbons. The refinery is planned to be built on a 318 acre site four miles west of Dickinson. The design and engineering work are in the final stages, construction could begin as soon as this spring.
