More Affordable Housing for Minot | Video

Rene Thibault | 2/5/2013

More affordable housing is on the way for Minot residents still looking for a place to live.

The Minot Housing Authority announced today that applications for the Washington Town Homes will be available starting tomorrow. Sixteen units will be offered during the first round of the housing lottery. Applicants must meet certain income and size-of-family requirements. Once applications are submitted, the Minot Housing Authority will review them, and draw 16 names for the townhomes.

Construction crews are putting the finishing touches on one of the townhome buildings and are working to complete another. Two, three and four bedroom apartments will be available through the lottery.

March and April are the expected move in dates for the first completed home complex. There will be another housing lottery in the fall of this year.
