Keeping Children Safe | Video

Kristin Clouston | 1/31/2013

Don`t forget to thank your school crossing guard. They`re working extra hard this week. Most school crossing guards are outside for about a half hour both before and after school. They don`t go inside until all the students are either in the building or have gone home. When it gets this cold students who don`t get breakfast at school can go to the gym in the morning, but that doesn`t always happen after school.

"On days like today the after school picking up students, it can be a while for the parents to come. Just so we don`t have students standing outside waiting for a ride," with Will-Moore principal David Saxberg.

Once the temperature gets down to 15 below zero, Bismarck children are kept inside during recess.
