Williston Man Arrested for Luring a Minor

A Williston man is in custody on a charge of luring a minor. Ward County Sherriff’s deputies arrested William Michael Hanson, 44, yesterday in Minot.

Hanson contacted an Internet Crimes Against Children investigator who was posing as a 13 year old girl online. A meeting was arranged in Minot. When Hanson arrived, he was arrested and charged with luring a minor by use of a computer or electronic means.

Hanson is currently in the Ward County Jail.
