Bismarck House Fire

J.R. Havens | 1/31/2013

No injuries were reported after an attic fire damaged a Bismarck home early this morning. Fire crews were called out to 2526 Ave. B East at around 3:21 this morning after the person living there called to report a fire in the attic.

Firefighters found light smoke and a small fire in the attic. They used a water extinguisher to put it out. Damage is estimated at about $10,000.

The fire department says that fire was caused by electrical wiring in the attic.

The Bismarck Fire Department reminds people to make sure they have functioning smoke detectors in their home.
