The final jurors have been selected in the Omar Kalmio trial. Kalmio is being charged with the murder of four people almost two years ago.

Friday morning, 43 potential jurors reported to the court house. After a long debate, 16 people were selected to serve as the final jury. Judge Doug Mattson, Kalmio`s attorneys and the prosecutors debated for about an hour trying to narrow down the pool of jurors.

Once the group of 16 was selected, they took an oath to act as a fair jury. Judge Mattson reminded them what they can`t do during the length of the trial.

Opening statements will begin Monday morning.
