It`s officially 2013. Naturally, social media users all over the world turned to Twitter to share how they brought in the new year. Just after 4:00 am, #NYE 2013 was the fourth trending topic in the world. Tweeters everywhere posted pictures and insight in to how they were celebrating.

Twitter is apparently very popular in Asia because Japan and Korea had the highest number of tweets on New Years Eve at over 33,000 tweets per second. Twitter hasn`t disclosed the exact amount of tweets except to say, "millions of people" used it to celebrate.

Trending locally, new magazine for women, by women. Called "Be Magazine". This publication, partnered with the Bismarck Tribune, is available at any newsstand around town and also online at bebismarck.com. Founder and Editor, Michelle Farnsworth, wanted a magazine with real, good advice and ideas specifically for women. The staff on board is full of names you`d most likely recognize too.

Farnsworth said this magazine is designed to make you feel good and inspire you to just be yourself. "I think what we offer that`s different is just a fresh perspective. Maybe some different ideas. Maybe give you something to think about that you hadn`t though about before, perhaps maybe spark an idea."

Be Magazine also features young writers every month. In the January issue, photographers and writers from Century High School will contribute.
