The Senate race in North Dakota is being closely watched nationwide. Democratic candidate Heidi Heitkamp voted this morning in Mandan. She`s running against Rick Berg. The winner of the race might determine which party will control the Senate for the next term.
Republican U.S. House candidate Kevin Cramer filled out his ballot at Horizon Middle School this morning. He`s going up against Democratic candidate Pam Gulleson. Cramer was a member of the Public Service Commission and Gulleson was member of the North Dakota House of Representatives.
North Dakota Lieutenant Governor Drew Wrigley placed his votes this morning at Horizon Middle School as well. He and Governor Jack Dalrymple have been campaigning against Democrat Ryan Taylor of Towner. He`s a State Senator representing District seven.
Another big race here in North Dakota is for State Superintendent. Candidate Tracy Potter has represented District 35 from 2007 to 2011. He is running against Kirsten Baesler, who is currently president of the Mandan School Board.
