Raging Rivers Closing Next Weekend | Video

If you are still looking to head to Raging Rivers this year, you are running out of time. The waterpark`s last opening days for the summer will be next weekend. The park was open Monday through Sunday during the summer up until this weekend.

Raging Rivers was originally to remain open over labor day weekend as well but staff say the waterpark will now be closing after next weekend.

"We`ve had a great season,” said Reid Katzung, manager of Raging Rivers. “I think the main thing is the weather`s been great. We started off really well in June. Weather was fabulous. 20 days over 90 degrees in July. August has been a little of a disappointment weather wise but we`re going to finish the season at about 65 thousand people as our attendance figure which is about 9 thousand more than we had 2 years ago which was our best year in the four years the park district owning the facility.”

The park is open today from 11am to 8pm and next weekend, weather permitting, from 11am to 4pm.
