United Way Having a Good Year So Far | Video

We`re already more than halfway through the year and members of United Way say it`s turning out to be a good one. Executive Director Jena Gullo says while the rapid growth in the state has provided some challenges and more people in need, the organization has seen the community come together and offer more donations and volunteers.

Over 450 people have already signed up to participate in the United Way Day of Caring on the 15th of this month. Those volunteers will help with various projects around the community including cleaning and painting.

"It`s a sign that people do care about the community that we live in and the future that we`re laying for our children," Gullo said.
