Berg to Face Heitkamp | Video

Rick Berg and his supporters are celebrating tonight. Berg will go on to face Democrat Heidi Heitkamp in the general election after defeating Republican opponent Duane Sand.

Berg says his campaign has attracted thousands of volunteers, and that people are fired up about the Senate race. He says to change America, you also need to change the Senate.

He adds that the house has passed 30 bipartisan bills that would boost the economy, but the Senate has not taken up those bills.

Heidi Heitkamp, who didn`t have a Democratic challenger in the primary, also celebrated tonight. She met with supporters and thanked them for their dedication.

Heitkamp says she`s looking forward to the November election. She knows it will be a close and competitive race with Berg.

Heitkamp is a former attorney general and candidate for governor.
