Retha Colclasure | 6/12/2012

This election isn`t just getting a lot of attention at home, it`s also turning the nation`s eye. Some political news outlets are keeping an eye on how many votes Senate candidates Rick Berg and Heidi Heitkamp receive. Others are watching out for the results of Measures 2 and 4.

Newspapers like the Washington Post and New York Times have run stories about the measure that would eliminate property taxes in the state, making North Dakota the first to do. Stories have also been run on what impact the outcome of the Fighting Sioux ballot measure could have on other teams with controversial mascots.

We spoke with Secretary of State Al Jaeger about the national attention. Click on the video link to see his response.
