Riverboat Back on the Water | Video

KFYR-TV | 6/12/2012

After more than a year, the Lewis and Clark Riverboat has returned to its old dock. This afternoon, workers were able to ride the boat from the Moritz Marina, where it was docked all winter, to a new dock near Keelboat Park.

Captain Matt Schanandore says the crew plans to launch its maiden voyage of the season Friday afternoon at 3:00.

"People are very eager. We keep posting dates, we`re gonna start here, we`re gonna start here. We just didn`t know when it was going to be. And we`ve had a lot of phone calls, a lot of emails on wanting to get on the boat."

Schanandore says they`re not taking reservations. Passengers are asked to arrive about half an hour before the departure time.
