One North Dakota man says deer hunting isn`t all about harvesting a deer, that`s just an added bonus.
Almost 80,000 hunters were out in North Dakota Friday deer hunting and one of those hunters was John Apland. He has been hunting since he was a little boy. Now he says he’s lucky enough to enjoy the experience with his sons. Apland says hanging out with friends and family is what hunting is all about.
"It use to be you had to harvest a deer, but that`s not what it`s about anymore. I don`t care if I shoot one, I`d rather have my kids shoot a deer," says Apland.
Apland does say that his fondest memory of hunting is when he shot his first deer. |
