| We`ve all heard the tale of George Washington and his wooden teeth. Turns out that`s not exactly accurate. In fact, the president wore dentures carved from hippo ivory and the lower half of those dentures went on display in Mount Vernon, Virginia Thursday. Also on display is the president’s last remaining tooth which the president`s dentist preserved in a pocket watch mounting. The tooth, the watch and the denture set will all remain on display through 2013. |
